I'm from Philly originally. Now I live in South Jersey. My surgery was done @ Barix in Langhorne' date=' PA on May 5th, 2005. Congratulations. I'm having a consult with the reconstructive plastic surgery in a couple of weeks. So glad that you fought & won. Prayers for a fantastic outcome for you.

I lost 90 lbs. It was well worth it. I have type II Diabetes, and my average sugars post meals are 110. The only food I couldn't eat for about 5 years or so was rice. One forkful totally filled me up. Now I can eat about a 1/4-1/3 cup, but no more. My consult is May 7th.

I have type 2 as well and I just be nervous cause my sugar is high at times and I don't want them to say they won't do my surgery because of that did your diabetes effect your surgery in any type of way

No it didn't. I have been VERY blessed to have no problems post surgery. My sugars are well controlled. I have totally changed my diet/eating habits/ lifestyle. Im vegeterian also.
