Well I was 289lbs. before I had surgery' date=' I lost 139lbs. in eight months. I never had skin removal but I can honestly say if you focus on getting your Protein in everyday then you want have a lot of sagging skin. Use Peanut Butter, and drink Protein shakes the only one that actually taste good is "Muscle Milk" doesn't leave a gritty or after taste. You can buy it from GNC or Health food Store.[/quote']

Phenomenal woman,

I would have to half way disagree with you. Skin rebound has to do with a lot more than protein. I was eating over 65 grams in 10 days and am extremely anal about what I eat. Excess skin is ALSO dependent on age, elasticity and thickness among other factors. Believe me, I wish I could have avoided 3 painful and costly surgeries but nothing I did seemed to work. Surgery isn't the answer for everyone but for some it IS necessary.

I'm five years out from bypass and will have my last plastic surgery this fall. Thighplasty and a hip staple. I have virtually no scars after having five previous surgeries, I'm the queen of Maderma and cocoa butter. My brachioplasty and breast aug was last July and my arm scars are pretty well faded, my breast scars are underneath and notable faded into white already. My skin is young though, I'm 27, and lost 160 pounds. It's totally worth it.

What were the 5 surgeries you had? How much did you spend? How was recovery time?

I've had a tummy tuck/ Lower body lift which included liposuction in my back, that all included was 25k, brachioplasty and breast aug was 10k, and my thighs will cost me around 10k as well when I get that done, hopefully in October.

Wow! Girl it would take me 2 years to save at least $20g unless my flea market brings me extra money. I'm gonna start selling soon.. Did you do the back lift with the Tummy Tuck together? Now that you mention the above who knows if I would need that also & thighs. I will try my best to exercise plus I got a trainer my hubby he has has his own gym & he said he will train me. He has a really nice body for age 55.

Yeah I had to finance a lot of it. The lower body lift was pretty painful, but my Tummy Tuck looks amazing. And yeah I had a trainer that helped me a lot, but I ended up gaining a lot of muscle which put t weight loss on hold, so now I'm pretty focused on cardio and triathlon training. And yeah have ur hubby put u to work! I had an ex who's a professional body builder, worked out well as we would hit the gym together and he would also be the food police.

That's cool. I hope I can tone up a lot before 2 years. I really want a nice body not saggy and ball of fat everywhere. You feel sad & depress being fat then after you slim it's more depressing saggy & looking worst then being fat. I'm not afraid of surgery & financing it's a great idea. Let's see how much work I need done in two years.

I'm one month post op. my inner thighs are starting to sag and under my arms by my arm pits. That's after one month! I'm 36 and preop was 236 and now I'm 207. My elasticity was I thought good but apparently not. It depends on a lot of variables.

I'm going into this pretty much expecting that I'll have to have tummy, arms, and breasts done. Back to back babies and gaining a ton of weight, plus the damage from 2 c-sections has already given me saggy, loose, skin. I can't wait until I've lost enough to where I can say..Hey husband lets get me some plastic surgery!

Hello I'm 5'0 I now weight 201 (since went on this surgery diet thing) how are you 158lbs size 8? I was size 13 at 135pounds & I have a huge butt and before kids I had no stomach.

I think it depends where you carry the weight. I am 5'4", weigh 175 lbs and wear a size 10.

I had a woman comment to me that:

********** "it's all perspective...Scars are your badge of honor.... They may not be pretty but they are the proof if a battle you conquered." **********

What a great tip about using Peanut Butter. Does it mask the taste in the shakes.< /p>

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
