I am in the same boat....only 3 years out. Lost 140 but have slowly put 20 on over the last18 months. I came here looking for help/support this far out. Maybe we should start our own support group!

Seven years out from surgery, lost 250lbs. I have gained 60lbs in the last two years. Primarily a because I stopped exercising and increased snacking. I don't eat a lot. Just the wrong things. I am not getting discouraged because I know what I need to do. Taking a deep breath and getting back on my program.

Let's be each others motivation.

Ok my fingers or key board are out of control! What I was trying to say was year one - easy; year two - on a roll; year three - injury and LAZY; year four - struggling to find my resolve again! I am not discouraged, I also know what to do. I am frustrated with myself for not doing it!

What are you all trying? I thought of picking one goal then sticking to just that Neil I have made it a habit again....ie walking daily or getting my Water in.

Thoughts?

How can we help each other?

Just started myfitnesspal to track food. I am one of the lucky or unlucky depending on your perspective that can eat ANYTHING. No problems with dumping.

I am a grazer. So keeping track of my food is important for me.

I am in the same boat. No dumping....ever. Never thoughts would wish I would dump, but I do! Only rarely is I eat too much sugar do I feel slightly sick. I have tried several online trackers. Really they all work....assuming you use them as intended. What I need is to get my head back in the game.

HiCocoHuny

I also use myfitnesspal. I love it! It is so easy to scan the food/drink I am having and have all the nutritional content.

I need a buddy too. I am only eight mints out and have only lost one pound in four weeks. I do cardio at least twice a week. But I do have trouble keeping to food rules. The carb monster has began creeping back in my life. I am only 45 lbs from goal and am struggling to stay strong.

Scanning this thread I am going to check the MyFitnessPal app.

I'll be your buddy for sure!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
