October 100 Mile Challange!

Recommended Posts

+5.1 miles on bike = 15.7 Leaving on a 4-day biz trip today not sure what I'll be able to log during the next few days.

+1.8 miles in airport shenanigans = 17.5 miles.

Here's a lesson in how to do that, boys and girls. Arrive Miami airport after practically running through Jacksonville airport. Deplane gate d60 and decide to walk to d24. Yay. Walk walk walk, watch the sky train go by 4 stations you passed on. get to d24. Receive text saying gate changed to d27. Walk. Receive text saying gate d11. Give up and decide this is a good time for dinner. So I could possibly add another half mile still :)

Then again my dinner is salami, ham, proscuitto and olives! In an airport. I'm happy.

Love to see all these miles (and porch swinging... and hot suit walking) adding up! I didn't rack up anything today.. LOTS of rain and wind. I'm falling behind!!! Going to add a short AM ride tomorrow to try to start catching up. Going to shoot for 15 miles tomorrow!

I am at 16.8 miles total. Not as far as I had hoped. I have 17 days left for serious workouts. Of those 17 remaining calendar days, 13 are realistic due to evening work and my last date night prior to surgery.

3 miles walking in today. That puts me a 26.55 miles so far. I am happy with that, but time to kick it in gear! I get to pick up my new mountain bike tomorrow! I can't wait!

I am not gonna lie. Just didn't want to today. I did a really dumb thing Sat and suffering for it now. Decided to change out my bedding so I lifted my tempurpedic king mattress up and held it up with my head and shoulders while I put on a new bed skirt. I knew immediately after letting it down I had screwed up. (C5/6 bulging discs in neck). SOOO, now I can't turn my head sideways or up and Down without pain. Tins unit, flex aril and meloxacam are my friends right now.

Only 1.1 mile in today. :(. Total 24.7.

Oh no! That is a major bummer. Take it easy and feel better quick! You might need to join Butter on the porch with a quilt of your own.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
