Cream of Tomato Soup

Silly question all. I am 6 days Post op and dying for tomato soup. Is it too harsh for our stomachs at this point? I wasn't sure with all the acid in tomatoes. I am so sick of cream of chicken already. Thank you????

I ate tomato soup all the time in the beginning and made it with milk or soy milk for the protein, enjoy!

I couldn't eat tomato those first weeks.. Didn't set well. If you can stomache it, enjoy!

I ate tomato bisque about 8-10 days post-op and it was fine. However, my wife still cannot stomach it (she is almost 3 months out). While she has no problem with tuna fish, yet I cannot tolerate it at almost 5 months out. Some can, some cannot...so is life! LOL

Good luck on your journey...an amazing transformation awaits you! :)

Thanks so much. I will give it a try. Hard getting down the protein shakes right now. They get kinda stuck and sit like a brick.

I was given Heinz tomato soup on day two in the hospital! So, based on that - and the fact it went down pretty well. Go for it! :)

I was drinking it without any problems my first week- try just a few sips at first and see how you do.

I love warm tomato soup with a couple scoops of ricotta cheese in it. yum! Yeah I've been eating tomato soup no problem and I'm 19 days out.

Go to panera bread ask for tomatoe soup without croutons. Take it to go because it will last you 3 days possibly. Its great soup.
