Oh yeah......I'll have the low cal, non-carbonated Rock Star a couple of times a week. Not sure that's worse than a coffee, but I would probably better off without it.

Returned this morning from a 5 day cruise, and I cheated in sooo many ways... Did you know croissants melt? That's pretty much where every day began and my eating choices didn't improve from there.

Can I just say how much I appreciate my sleeve and the restriction it provides? It was my saving grace! Now it's time to get back to occasional cheating.

Yes, I can say I came to know croissants very well during our 2 weeks in Paris last month - and pain au chocolat and palmiers and various other little treats.

Butter is healthy, right?

Frig sakes!!! Mashed potatoes are from the devil...loaded with sour cream and butter and beaten to a nice fluffy consistency and then topped with swiss chalet gravy you make at home yourself...Gawd!!! Yah im on purees/soft foods...but man oh man..mashed potatoes and gravy..1/2 cup plus 4tbsp of gravy...goes down WAYYYY too easily!!!! Never seem to get full on it!! I think im going to ban mashed potatoes..Now i wonder if fries would end up causing the same issue!!!

Ssssssslider....

4days post op I a bite of a lasagna I made and it went down ok. About 45 seconds later I had a killer preassure in my upper tummy. By my breast bone I thought I was going die. Never again
It was 7 days out for me but had Exactly the same result! OMG it hurt!!!

Some days I cannot face another Protein based meal. I keep lots of choices in my refrigerator, but they all look bad to me on occasion. Today was one of those type of days. So after dinner I treated myself to an ice cream sandwich, minus the sandwich. I ate slowly and savored every bite of vanilla ice cream as if I have never tasted it before. My tummy felt much better and more settled after the ice cream. The trap for me is that sometimes I wake up in the morning with a sugar hangover. The headache is useful because it tells me which food I ate the day before I cannot tolerate. I had the sleeve 2 mos ago.

Had my first glass of wine last night and the heartburn and nausea were enough to keep that from happening again for a while.

Some white wines burn. I think they may be a bit too tannic.

Red wines, no problem. So far.

Tonight.. I am drinking hard liquor. I make no apologies for it and given the week I've had, it is entirely warranted. Empty calories and all. So there!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
