my sleeve surgery 9/19/13

Recommended Posts

I had my surgery on 9/19/13 all went well. I also had a hiatal hernia repair. I was insanely sore at first especially in my neck and the one side of my abdomen was really sore. I am 3 days out now and can finally stand up straight lol. I had a pretty good experience with it all. And my Dr... he was awesome!!! Dr Felts in Las Cruces NM I would recommend him to anyone!!!!

I also was sleeved 9/19. I am starting to feel much better. Keep moving and try to get the gas out. That seems to be the hardest part. Hang in there!!

Glad your both feeling better.. Now follow surgeons orders and you'll be fine. Stick with the posts and follow this site to answer questions and get encouragement. Best advice I can give you.. is don't push the sleeve.. Its new and needs time to heal. follow the eating plan.. don't move forward with the next stages until your cleared. Good Luck and stay strong.

Hey guys. I was sleeved on 9/19 as well! All good so far. Not too sore. Was able to walk almost a mile this evening. Didn't want to over do though with not much Protein on board since I'm still on Clear Liquids. So far so good, good luck to everyone!

Hey I was sleeved on 19th sept in uk.

Came home After 2nights and felt ok.. Just slightly sore. Yesterday was a bad day. I had terrible terrible back pain. Unsure if it's because of the gas or because I been lying down alot.

This morning back a bit better but I have no energy in my arms or legs to move. Is this normal?

I was definitely weaker yesterday. Couldn't walk quite as far. I am starting full liquids today so I'll be able to get more Protein in. Looking forward to that to build up some strength. Other than that everything is going well. I go see my surgeon on Friday and get my staples removed.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
