So my surgeon wants me at the hospital 3 hours early , was wondering what tests are ran what procedures are done and what all happens before surgery ??? Have surgery Monday 23rd !!! Am so excited !!

They have to get you all set for surgery... Nurses take all your medical history and also get IV's started... Pretty basic stuff

When I had my surgery, I had to enter the hospital two hours early. Surprisingly, the staff took me back immediately. It seems my physician wanted an entire bag of fluids infused prior to surgery and that took nearly 1 hr 30 minutes then they started adding the antibiotics to the next bag. Maybe that is the answer to your question. Good luck to you.
