I'm beyond excited :) Down 13lbs and hope this fatty liver is a little bit smaller. I'm stocked up with Protein powders/sf jello/broth & baby food prunes (I've been told its good to have on hand for possible Constipation issues). We can do this !! We'll be on the losers bench before we know it

I havent started yet. But thats the same diet im gonna be on. How is it so far?

Alright!! Woke up with a burst of energy! Lol. Finishing up some last minute items. Already started leave from work and can't believe that this time tomorrow I will be in surgery! :-0. I'm gonna be off and on here all day going crazy waiting! Anyone else know there time. I've gotta be there there at 615.

It went really well! After the 4th day, I never even felt hungry. Just space out your food and Jello and whatever Snacks you are allowed so you are eating something every few hours. You'll do great!

They haven't called me with my time yet. Today will either crawl by, or fly! Hopefully fly cause I'm excited

Well hopefully it will be early. My husband said the faster it's over with the quicker I can start recovering.

I have the second spot, but I have to report there by 6:45am. My surgery is scheduled for 9:45. I am ready!

Sweet! I guess my surgery is at 710am. I have to be there t 615. Almost there. I've been doing stuff around my house all day. Going stir crazy. I'm as ready as ill ever be. Okay crazy question here. It should make some laugh. Did anyone ask there doctor when you can have sex again? Only my husband would care!

Actually, someone asked that in my pre-op class yesterday with the bariatric nurse...Pretty much the answer was as soon as you feel up to it. Most of the women in my support group waited a few days to a few weeks... some said the surgery increased their appetite ;-)

      Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
      I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

      Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

      Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
