Generous return policies from stores are to support those people who are returning clothes that have not been worn. They are designed to prevent a consumer from ending up with a product that is faulty or inappropriate.

Aside from the ethical concerns of returning used clothing (aka "freestyling"), I would hazard a guess that certain states have criminal penalties for returning used clothing.

Returning used clothing is a clear breach of the return policy. Your worn items have to be discarded by the store and that increase in cost for retailers results in increased prices for consumers. Or worse, one of us is stuck wearing your used clothing that we paid for at Sears.

:faint:

I am not sure that advocating fraudulant activity is a a "helpful" hint. I personally think you are toeing the line of theft because those clothes can no longer be sold as new, you are using them for FREE and then the retailer is losing out because they have dispose of them.

Are you telling the retailer WHY you are returning them? If not, do you think they would approve of your actions?

A helpful hint would be going to a consignment shop to buy clothes and then selling them back.

I don't know of any stores here in Australia that do that. Can't they tell if its been washed a few times?

I have just brought 2 simple outfits in my new size and will just wear these till I absolutely need some smaller ones.

You could always eBay the hardly warn ones that are to big.

That's just not right. You should rethink your money saving strategies. Not cool.

My first thought??? Yuck! My second thought?

I'm glad I don't shop at sears....

I'm all for paying it forward. Not sticking it to the store or some poor soul thinking they are buying something new? Not good..

I buy my clothes, enjoy them and then pass them on to someone else or give them to charity.

If you can't afford new clothes buy used ones (at the proper place) like goodwill.

You wear and wash these clothes and then return them in 30-45 days? That's really uncool and pretty low. How do you have a straight face returning these clothes knowing you've worn them for so long.? Walmart has pretty cheap clothes that would get you thru your loosing phase.

What you're doing is stealing, plain and simple. I don't call that a helpful money saving tip. If you can't afford new clothes, don't buy them! There are thrift stores everywhere that will tide you over through the in between sizes. If you need to recoup a little money from your new clothes, sell them somewhere where you can identify them as USED. I'm not usually one to judge, but what you're doing is wrong.

Well, you've been told off enough. I dig going to Goodwill and such stores mainly because I am so darned cheap. I've picked up designer clothes that still had the tags on. Treasure hunt!

When I was a teen I bought stuff at the men's stores, wore them to a party, and exchanged them the next day for the next party. I came from a lower middle class home and tried to keep up appearances and run with the wealthier kids. But mostly it was to impress girls...the motivation for many a nefarious act!

This just in....a new study correlates rapid weight loss and the lack of ghrelin with being a giant d*** bag. Who knew?

Good! Since I've lost much of my testosterone I needed something new to blame my behavior on. B)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
