My Surgery date 8/8/2013 highest weight was 220, surgery weight 213, current weight 195 All in all I've lost a total of 25 pounds and so happy I lost 7 pounds on my two week preop than the rest the first week post op.. I was stuck at 196-200 until yesterday and now I have lost another pound and that makes me happy to know that the scale started moving back the right direction again!! <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> I would live to hear from other August sleevers <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

How did everyone's 3 month check ups go?

Any advice from your doctors, PA's, Surgeons?

I was told I'm doing great. Surgery weight was 249 CW is 190 down 59 pounds. A total of 88 since Feb.

I need to up my calorie intake from 800 to 1000. Gah It's a struggle to do this my brain rebels at the thought of upping my calories to LOSE weight. ya know. So it's been a trial and error kinda thing for the last 4 days. I'm still only getting 850 don't think I've hit 900 yet.

So how did everyone else's go? It's nice to hear others feed back going through the same journey as me. :)

Hi was sleeved 8/21/13 weight was 246, went up to 254 in hospital due to fluids. Current weight as of last thursday 3 month anniversary 194 so I have lost 52 pounds in 3 months, not counting the Water weight from post op, if I did ,would be down 60lbs . My Dr says I am above his curve, meaning I have lost more than he expected for my pre op size.Yay. Now waiting to be down another 25 lbs, my next goal loss.

My stomach acid still gives me problems but it seems to be getting a little better than it was last month for sure.

How is everyone's diet progression??

Are you on regular foods now?

Hey everyone. My surgery was 8/12/13. Doing OK. Not fast, but steady. I feel so much better, arthritis pain almost gone, although unfortunately my blood pressure hasn't dropped. Not weight related, I guess. I love my sleeve and every month improves.

I am on regular foods, although I still like soft foods - they just feel better. Just in the past week I was able to start raw vegs and fruit. I had a cutie mandarin orange that was so delicious after months of no fresh raw produce, and I can eat salads now (not very much, of course, since I fill up fast). 4 month check up is Dec 12.

I think the worst thing was my throat. It was so tight and had a lump. They tested me for stricture (none) and it has slowly been going away, but it was very uncomfortable.

I was allowed to start solid foods at 6 weeks. I however last night just over 3 months tryd raw veggies. Happy to report no issues. I had a chicken lettuce wrap with cucumbers, sweet peppers, onions and Tomato. Lordy I missed my raw veggies. Sigh.

When can you eat solids again?

I don't know- I go for my 3 month check-up dec. 12th; I'll find out then- it's so interesting how everyone's doctors orders vary; really trying to stick to them- but I'm doing horrible with the exercise- have only exercised a couple of times since the surgery-

Had my 3 month check up a couple of weeks ago, dr wanted me at 30% excess weight lost, I was at 44% whoop!

Pre-op weight 236

SW 219.8

CW 176.8

I'm now at 51%, he wants me at 60-65% by my 6 month appt in Feb.

Told me not to worry about calories, get my Protein and fluids in, keep sugar low and that's all I need to worry about. Keep drinking my shakes to ensure I'm getting the job done.

When I work out (training for a mini triathlon) I need to drink a Protein Shake immediately after to keep from burning muscle.

These were his only issues.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
