One Year Surgery Anny 9-4-13

  • Popular Post

Surgery date : 9/4/12

Weight day of: 240 lbs

Height: 5' 2.5"

Surgeon: Dr. Thomas Borland (self pay)

Current weight: 150 lbs

Total loss: 90 lbs

Just wanted to post a little update since my one year has passed... I wanted to hit 100 lbs by now, but I am totally okay with 90! My one year appt with my Dr isn't til October so I feel confident that I can get there by then! I've kindof fallen off the wagon lately, so as of Monday I'm back on Protein and veggies only! I am going to beat this 10 lbs FOR SURE :

Thank you everyone!!! I loved reading that this thing actually worked before I had my surgery and I loved pics so I am trying to contribute! <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> if my story helps just one person to make the decision then I'm happy! I cannot say enough about how amazing Dr Borland is! Anyone in Louisiana or the south really should definitely consider him for self-pay' date=' his price alone is unbelievable <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> I started back on veggies and meat as of Monday and I'm happy to say I'm already down to 147, may not be much but 140 isn't far! Yay![/quote']

Great job. Keep up the good work. I hope I do as good.

Wow! Our stats are almost exact. Would you mind sharing your exercise routine & diet you followed mostly throughout your year? Any plateaus & resolutions for those along the way? Dish the deets! LOL

Actually I've just stuck with meats and veggies for the most part, do not... I repeat DO NOT go back to soda! It is the devil! Stay with Water and you won't go wrong! Plateaus have happened for sure, at my 6 month mark I think I plateaued for a few weeks but mine worked so that I would plateau then I'd lose 4 lbs in like 2 days.sure I slip and eat something I shouldn't here or there but I try to stick closely to my meats and veggies.

As for exercise...well, I am no ones role model for that, I am busy busy but I walk/jog when I can and I do a daily workout routine recently that I have started and I'm hoping to tighten my abdomen area up in the process :)
