Does anyone have Dr Hollis in Houston as their doctor?

Recommended Posts

I was sleeved on 8/26 and every time I call to ask about what I can eat during each diet phase I never receive a call back. The list he gave me, or the nurse practitioner, is very limited and doesn't really say anything! I went to my post op appt with the nurse practitioner and still no answers. Wondering if anyone already went through this and can give me some info or maybe has gotten some answers.. Thank you so much!

I am familiar with him but did not use him because of his bad reviews.

There was a girl who was on a thread i started a few days ago who did use him. Where were you sleeved SEM? If so can you contact the nutritionist?

I was sleeved at university general hospital.. He was recommended by both my gynecologist and primary doctor but I have seen him twice for a total of about ten mins.. I wish they could help me out because I'm scared to eat something I'm not supposed to.. so disappointed.. And to answer the other question about weight loss, my pre-op I lost about 19lbs and after surgery I am at a total of 18lb so total of 37lbs.. I feel hungry.. and all the weight is from everywhere except my stomach... my clothes are huge on my legs but still a little tight on my stomach.. I start my puree week monday.. not sure on what to eat :(

His office staff and especially Nurse Beth are the worst I have ever dealt with. I wish I would have known, I would have never used him. I would look for other options and NEVER put you health in the hands of anyone in Dr. Hollis' office, because once he is done with the surgery, that is the last you will see of him.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
