new to the site and new to my sleeve

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

As the title says I am new to the site and just recently had the sleeve done. I think I'm doing fairly well I'm past my first two weeks of Fluid and am now starting pureed foods. On the date I started the presurgical diet I weighed 363 after surgery and two weeks I now weigh 337. Not too bad. Looking forward to being able to update as I've gained confidence reading all your stories. Oh and ya, split up with my bf a month before this...never a better time to start!

Congrats. Being excited and nervous is natural but you'll soon see the nervousness disappear as you start to loose weight. It's a great feeling.

Good luck...and remember lots of liquid and Protein ( as awful as it might taste - although its still not as bad as Buckleys cough syrup...yuck!

Lol I know exactly what you mean. I tended to ignore the actuality of it as I was going through the year of hoops....it wasn't until I was on the surgery table when I though....hmmm what am I doing lol.

But for me I had to go through with it. 30 years of failed diets was enough for me.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
