Hi girls.... well my start on the liquid diet didnt happen... i need a kick up the butt. Maybe when i see Dr Nottle on 12/2 i will begin to feel more motivated. its been such a long weight to finally see him as i originally booked an appointment in october and cancelled and have had to wait all this time after re-booking.

Hi Bronnie, I know the feeling I was supposed to start my diet 9 days ago and I cut down on things but didn't really get into it, then I looked at the video that Sussanah put me onto and it made me realise that I have waited this long to do this and it's so close that if I don't do this diet I could risk slippage or even worse not being able to have it done!!! It's been a long road to this point but you CAN do it!!! As i mentioned in my other post I was able to do the Tony Ferguson program 8 different flavours to choose from as I can't stomach the Optifast, might be soething you can ask your Doc about. Good Luck:biggrin1:

Cant wait to hear how it went!

Its great to hear how anyone went with their banding but its funny when you had the same doc, same hospital. Its reliving the experience all over again. I was so scared and so excited at the same time.

Okay, I thought I'd be very brave and stop being a voyeur on this wonderful forum.

I am soon to be banded (14th Feb, Ray McHenry, Knox Private Knox) and are on my 4th day of Optifast which I might add is an unpalatable as 'Clag', thank God for the Optifast Bars!!!

My long time friend (we went to school together) has just been banded yesterday and is recovering well. We have grown up together and gone to weight watchers together and we will now share this experience.

I know you all will understand my feelings of both exaltation and dread and I would just like to add that reading all your personal journeys is enlightening and informative.

Katrina

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
