First Step Complete....Gave bariatric office medical records

Well I officially handed in my bariatric paperwork and medical records today! Woohoo! That was a lot of information to gather. Now starts the wait for the office to call and schedule my appointment with the nurse, NUT, and psyche appt. I think the waiting will be even harder than gathering all that information! Anyone else just getting started?

Meeeeeee!! lol. I have my first surgeon consult today....in about an hr. I guess its different here because I am taking all my records in with me and they will schedule me out for everything before I leave today (told me to bring a calendar). Im excited! Looks like we may be on the same timeline. Good Luck!

Let me know how your appointment goes today!

*waves* me too! I just dropped off my nearly 30 pages of documentation on Wed, got a call back less than 24hrs later--

Approved!!

Now I'm just waiting for them to set up the initial visit.

Wow! That was fast! Congrats!

It's crazy how differently things are done in different areas. I had my apt with the Bariatric Coordinator on August 2nd. We discussed the different types of surgery and she took all my medical history. Then she scheduled me for my first apt with Surgeon which is Aug 22nd, and then she also scheduled my first appointment with buy on Sept 13th. I guess it doesn't matter as long as they get it done! Good luck to you all! :)
