Well' date=' I think it is an important topic to discuss.

Yes Jane,

It was an important topic...

I'm not sure how it deteriorated overnight.

But it's a shame that it did...

Yeah I'm not sure why someone would delete all of their postings when they could possibly be helpful to someone later on. The op originally sounded like he was trying to share some information, but clearly sharing was not the intention or the posts would not have been altered.

I agree!! I was really looking for information on this and wanted to get others opinions on the subject! I know that ultimately it's up to me and my dr but I want to be sure I have thought about every aspect before making any decisions about another surgery. And I haven't made my mind up. So I have experienced only a 5lbs weight loss for the last 2 months, that's not to say my body might kick back into gear and I may go on to lose weight. It's just scary when I'm still at 305lbs and I'm already slowing way down. I'm happy if I can keep losing, don't get me wrong, I just wanna be sure my body isn't preparing to quit losing all together. Because then yes I would feel like a failure.

There is a DS forum on obesity help. You might find answers there.

Yes, sadly, some people are very childish...better known as trolls.

My mom had the DS as a single procedure so I'm well versed in that as well as the sleeve. Feel free to pm me if you have anymore questions :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
