OH NO!!! That's my biggest fear.for how long has your hair been falling out. My hair started falling out too, I lucky to have a full thick hair but I'm loosing a lot. I'm taking Vitamin and Biotin and some drops my hair dresser puts on my hair, but I don't see any improvement. Good luck

It is all about protein....once your system gets over the surgery you have to start upping your Protein intake....Protein is the body builder....60gms a day.....Lots of Water as well..Then once your body catches up it will slow down and stop

My doctor says there is no way to stop the loss of hair. Some claim Biotin or special shampoos or lotions will help, but he maintains they are a waste of money. The loss will stop on its own. Mine began at around 6 months and lasted until about 10 months. The biggest problem for me was finding hair in the food I cooked. Yuck!

When does your hair stop falling out. I'm so upset my hair is thinning out so much. I even have bald spots.

I am about 20 weeks post op and my hair is falling out in clumps, it is so scary sometimes, I take Biotin, I eat Protein, I drink Water. I think there are some people who will lose a lot of hair and some are lucky with good genes and just don't .

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
