Hope this is the right place.. Will insurance cover if

So I am 99.9 % self pay. My concern is what would happen if something went wrong. Like if I had to stay in the hospital as a result of a complication... Would Cigna pay for the stay even though it was related to something I didn't go through them for? Or what if 5 years from now my gallbladder is removed... Do I have to pay bc I paid for the surgery? Just wondering how that might work.

No it won't pay if you have complications after surgery. It won't pay if you have any thing go wrong directly related to your surgery. Gallbladder 5 yrs down the road probably yes they would pay for cause its so far out. But always better to know for sure. Call Cigna and ask this question to know absolutely. You always wanna be prepared.

I will be self-pay if insurance denies me. My surgeon's fee includes three months of BLIS insurance and covers anything that could go wrong 100% during the first three months post-op.
