For the record' date=' I think it is a useless rule and I hardly visit either of those forums anymore, they were alot mroe entertaining when "cross posting" was allowed.

The complaints were not just from a few women.

To be fair, there are a few men too, who complained about women being in the men's room.

Oh, great to see you PDX!

Hope all is going well :)

They were just sad they couldn't make boob jokes anymore. I'll be the first to admit men can become a bit sophomoric when this topic comes around and rightly so, the women objected.

I don't see why there is such a hub-bub about it. As I have pointed out, if you want both gender responses, post in the General forum. If you want gender specific responses, post in the Powder/Men's Room.

If a man wants to know what Vitamins the guys are taking, they have a place to get their experience. They are not looking for the pre/post menopausal sleever nor are they wanting pre/post pregnancy needs or the myriad of other women's Vitamin needs. If they are wanting all sleever's thoughts, then they can post in the General forum.

All should be available to read, for sure.

I see you are alive and posting well here at VST. I hope your summer is going well.

Sophomoric behavior is not exclusively reserved for the men on the gender specific forums!

I did some of my best work in the mans room! :D

But your right, as the new rule stands?

I don't find it particularly bothersome.

Certainly not enough to start thread lamenting about not being allowed in OR complaining about the opposite sex showing up there occasionally.

I guess it's that bigger fish to fry thing...

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
