I was just thinking about how my pajama top is really long on me and how the V-neck is really low. I looked at the size and thought to myself that I may need to buy new jammies soon.....

So a few of my favorite things that I have noticed these last 2 months are:

- I have a neck and jawline now

- my underwear is waaaaaay to big and I need smaller ones stat!

-I'm running out of the smaller shorts in my closet. The ones I would fit into now I threw away a

loooooong time ago

- My stomach pooch is considerably smaller

- my daughter's teacher noticed I had lost weight! (woohoo!)

- need smaller jammies

- I fit into a foldable yard chair easier

- need smaller belts

- my blood pressure keeps going down with every doctor visit, no more BP meds

- no more cholesterol meds

- easier to get into and outta my car

- need smaller bras

- don't have to stretch out my t-shirts before I put them on

What have you noticed and liked?

Congrats on your NSV's :) :D

My goodness, for me it's so many things!

- After cleaning i'm not so winded and don't sweat anymore.

- Back use to ache when i washed dishes. Not anymore baby!

- dark spots on my face are clearing up

- My neck is super thin and my face has pulled back considerably

- After my mom uses my car ( she's way thinner than me) i don't have to readjust so i can fit. Her chair settings fit me comfortably.

- My shorts are way too big.

- Jeans no longer fit me. Too big.

- As you stated, pooch is getting way smaller so it doesn't poke out when i wear dresses. My stomach somewhat flat in clothes.

- When i climb the stairs i'm no longer out of breath

- I more comfortably in small chairs.

- Small clothes are becoming too big and small bras are fitting just right now.

I can go on and on and on..it's not easy but the good has most definitely been outweighing the bad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
