Doctors coming to the hotel

Curious if anyone has had follow up care at the hotel?

I got to the hotel yesterday and have been suffering so severely with a migraine that I called my coordinator at 4am requesting a doctor. I was told that the doctor would not come to me that I needed to go to him. I said no as I am in so much pain the thought of driving or noise was unbearable.

Today my coordinator called to check on me and again I told her how much pain I was in and she said that to see a doctor I needed to go in. Sunlight and noise and smells and waiting. Ya thats really appealing.

Anyways im shocked as before I booked I was told I would receive amazing care in and out of hospital. This has not been the case.

Am I wrong in thinking they should come to me?

My experience in Mexico, was that the doctor would come to the hotel in the evening or at at night after he was done doing surgery to remove peoples drains. i don't think think that they are being unreasonable when asking you to go to the Dr. But if your in that much pain, maybe you should be in the hospital anyway. Hope you fell better soon.

I hope u get better. I hope if I have pain my doc comes and c's me .

I was at the hotel for 2 days. A Doctor came each day to check my incisions and my over all well being. I didn't have a drain that needed removing.

I'm sorry that you are experiencing this. I regularly have migraines and I know how difficult they can be.

I hope you feel better soon.

Well they finally called at 5:30 and said the doc would be here within the hour. Its now 8:15 and no one has shown up.

Who is your doctor?

I had a migraine after surgery, which is not surprising, I get them quite a bit - but come to find out, headache was a side effect of the pain medication they were giving me, so we changed it and I took a Maxalt, the one that dissolves under your tongue. If you past the point of no return, you need to go into the ER, just like you would do here and they need to give you a shot for pain and something for nausea. Ask about headache being a side effect of the pain meds you are taking. You may need something different.
