Slow losers..... Motivational steps

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody my name is Ballermom and I'm a slow loser. Ok so, I'm not the typical " I lost 100lbs in 4-6 months" deal. So I developed some motivational steps to help others like myself.

Step one- Don't compare yourself with any body. You worked to hard on this Journey with all the hoop jumping just to get the surgery. Time to appreciate how hard you've worked and who you are as an individual.

Step two-make that scale your Be-atch!

Step three- add another weight loss exercise like Skinny Sex!

Step four- don't forget to enjoy the Journey!

I'm definitely in the club. This Monday I'll be 7 weeks out and as of today I am down 19.6 lbs from surgery day. But, you are right, I can't compare myself to anyone else. This is my journey. I'm happy the scale is going down!

Love the pics!!

I'm on my second month long stall right now. In 9 months I've lost 90 pounds. I knew once I was close to being under 200 pounds my weight would stall. Sure enough, I've been stuck at 205 since the last week of June! 90 pounds is a lot of freakin weight though. I'm very happy! I'm content knowing I'll never be 100 pounds overweight again!

This is good. I've stall since June 21, I'll be 2 mont August 1st down 32 lbs and some times I feel down but not gonna let the scale determine my life. I know 6 month or a year from now or how ever long it takes me, I will reach my goal.

I am 7 weeks out and have lost 32 pounds including my 2 week liquid diet. I am happy though because it is coming off and I couldn't have lost 32 pounds in 9 weeks (pre op included) on my own. I will just keep plugging along and when a stall hits and my hair is falling out I will hang in there!! I have lost a ton of inches so I am looking at that as well. Losing slow and a happy girl!! :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
