I was sleeved on sept 6. My starting weight was 360 and I was 335 the day of surgery. I am 320 today. My clothes fit better and I feel better, but I am wondering if I am losing weight quickly enough. I thought it would come off a little faster than it is. Is anyone else having the same problem? How is everyone else dealing with this? Any advice would be great.

I'm lactose intolerant too (but have been for a couple of years). I drink lactaid milk and it's good! Maybe you can try that. I was sleeved on Sept 27th. Welcome!

20 pounds is great AND 25 preop! I was sleeved on the 27th and I've lost 18 pounds. I started at 210 and am now 192. I didn't have a PreOp diet but in the 3 months before my surgery I lost 15 pounds.

I've been lactose intolerant for years. It's a bummer. I use soy in my Protein Shakes. Sounds like lactate is working for you...I should try that. My surgery was on the 28th. I think my body is coming out of a shock. I lost 21 lbs before the surgery due to a liquid diet my doc had me on for 2 weeks. Then 7lbs. after surgery. I have the hardest time getting more than 900cals down a day. I'm a bit discouraged at this point, but I know the weight will come off eventually. I did drop one size. It's crazy though how different peoples bodies are. Anyway.....welcome! We're here to support one another. :-)

I'm so jealous that some people get to go back to eating normal food at 4 weeks lol I'll be 4 weeks post op Thursday and only going to Phase 3 Soft Foods of the post op diet. My doc requires each phase for 2 weeks. I also have a wedding October 26th and wondering what the hell I'm going to be able to have...

That is hard. I say try some baked flaky fish if you can that was on my soft diet. It's funny how each nutritionist and surgeon have different requirements. I was one week each. liquid, soft, regular. All the best!

I'm almost 3 weeks postop and am cleared for purees and I've been able to tolerate small bites of roasted chicken that I chew up really good. It goes down well and doesn't hurt. Maybe try that. I start transitioning to regular foods next Friday (25th).

My doc required the same, but I almost went insane. I've tried a lil this and a ill that if the next stages and took it slow. I've done great and I feel great! Not chewing almost made me insane....really:-). I thought I would lose it if I couldn't bite into something. An egg white omelet never tasted so good. Lol

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
