Ok' date=' All. I'm ready to make the September Sleevers 2013 group, but.. I have to say who I want to add to start it. And none of us our friends on there yet. So....

I'm private because I'm an educator, so you can't search me. But if one of you wants to PM me your name, I can add you in and we can start this.

Oh goodness. I sound like a shady salesmen.

or we can all just use Sassy Sleevers, which is lovely but HUGE.[/quote']

I am an educator too... So please add me to your page

I am sept 9th @ Banner gateway in Gilbert Arizona

You are so lucky to be going to Banner. I live in Scottsdale and my insurance requires me to go to St. Lukes. I really don't care for it.

Had my pre-op testing this morning, chest x-ray, urine & blood test, did a ekg last year so they used that one. I didn't realize that my doctors are the only one with the Center of Excellence from Sacramento CA to Portland OR, that's a very comforting thought, I was also informed that I will have a private room in a new addition to our hospital with a special bariatric trained staff, some of which have already had the procedure, another calming thought! After my appointments I stopped by the local 'Carb Essentials' and picked up a container of Unjury chicken Soup Flavored Protein Powder, a customer standing in line was also a patient from my doctors office, said to mix that with fat free chicken broth and it was very tasty. I was excited for another Protein option, especially since its not a sweet one!! I am a salty girl and I don't care who knows it! lol, getting close, 10 days and counting ;)

I am September 11th. I start the liquid diet today.... Now things are getting real. I love my surgeon but I am still nervous. I am using Unjury Protein powder. I like it so far. The tubs aren't that big' date=' especially cause the scoop is huge. Btw, I'm from the Seattle area[/quote']

That's my date as well!!! Best wishes too you.

Hi All :) This is my first post. Just found this forum yesterday..so much to read!

My surgery is scheduled for the 18th. I have 8 children and a pretty supportive husband. Getting nervous! But I've never felt so excited/sure about the decision.

Tomorrow: labs/ultrasound/checkup!

Another Canadian here with a September 9th surgery date with dr. Kelly in TJ. Nova hospital and hotel Lucerna! Very excited but I'll be honest...I'm finding that I'm second guessing my decision sometimes. Looking forward to it all being over and the recovery being a distant memory. And I'll be doing all my remembering in the skinniest jeans I can squeeze into <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Anyone know how to start a group on fb? Seems to be lots of September 9'ers out there...it would be nice to compare and ask each other questions along the way!

Hi! I am also having surgery with Dr. Kelly @ Nova and staying @ Lucerna. I am three days behind you. Mine is 9/12!. I was a bit nervous too but talking to Dr. Kelly put me at ease. Hope all goes well for all of us!

It's a month earlier than I thought! Yay :)

I'm the same day. Who is your surgeon?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
