I was just sleeved this past Tues (day 4 for me). Still in alot of pain. I was told that he had to do more work than anticipated to get my band out (it was eroding into my stomach) so that probly why the extra pain (i'm really not a wuss!). he also told me that he was plicating (folding over) of my stomach which helps prevent leaks. Does this cause increased pain post op? Just wondering where all of it's coming from. The most painful surgery I've ever had (and I've actually had spine surgery). Still moving in slow motion.
Does anyone elses dr fold their stomachs over their staple line to decrease leakage? It wasn't a surprise, he told me he does all of them this way.
