Starting the approval prosses

I got a call from the bariatric office I am wanting to go to and I was told that the surgeon will be taking me on as a patient. So excited. Now I only have to get thru 6 months of bariatric classes. Oh it seems so far away. But if this is the only way insurance will pay I haven't got a choice.

Good Luck! The classes will go by quickly. You can do it!

Thanks!

I just found out that I may have to wait 6 months when I originally thought it was 3. I'm really depressed about it. That will put me doing it next year and will cost alot more having to meet my deductible again. I've been looking into self pay in the US options now! Just don't know what to do.

I am sorry that is so disappointing. I can relate to waiting, I just want the surgery now. Maybe you should see about self pay and then check with your insurance and find out what you need to do in order to be reimbursed, and if you get the surgery this year pay cash then get reimbursed by your insurance and hopefully will not have to pay the high deductibles that you would have to pay if you got the surgery next year. I do know that insurances will sometimes reimburse patients but be sure to find out how much they will reimburse.
