Hi Everyone!

Yes there is a FB that is private. Strength In Numbers Sleeve Support is the title of the group. There are about 5-7 of us in there. Would be great if people would join so we can chit chat easier on FB and get to know one another.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Cathy and I live in Saskatchewan, Canada. I am being sleeved by Dr. Alejandro Lopez at Tijuana Mi hospital on Sept. 2/13. I am staying at the Marriot. I am very excited with a little pinch of nervous. Anyone else out there on this date.

Hi Cathy,

Yes I will be in TJ for surgery 9/2 by Dr. Venazuela. I did get a chance to talk to Beth. So that will make 3 of us pacing the halls!

Is there a fb group now?

I believe Jo Brown was looking into setting one up. Not sure of status.

I will be having my surgery on September 16th at the Fresno Kaiser hospital. I kinda wish they had a sooner date for me but I didn't want to change surgeons and I still have labs and another visit with the surgeon that I have to get done before the 16th. So this gives me time to get everything done at a relaxed pace, gives me another month to gather post op necessities, and gives work plenty of notice so they can figure things out as far as schedules go!

Do you think you have to be retested after the antibiotics?

Yes, some physicians will redo blood work .

Nothing comes up for me when I click on the link. Do you have to be invited?

Same for me! I have been away from my computer all day long (working with about 30 kids on a circus:) ) and I am just now catching up!

Hi everyone!

Ellenpro, we are on the same day!! I was just approved this afternoon for revision surgery on Sept. 16th. Even though I've been through lap-band surgery, I'm still super nervous!!!!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
