Feel like I need to burp, but can't

I feel like I need to burp but I can't. Often after eating but other times between meals also. I am fairly sure that I am not overheating as I can eat the same thing/amount with no issue a dozen times but then have an issue with it. How do you burp!? Pre surgery I would have a coke a problem solved.

Are you on a PPI? When I go without mine for too long I'll get that feeling a lot. I don't force burps anymore (random puke-on-yourself horror...), but I do sometimes have a sip or two of carbonation if I feel really stuck & I know it's not just food trying to digest in that tiny space. But I'm also 3 months out, & by no means would I suggest that.

Walk, walk, walk. If I get up and walk or do a few light jumping jacks, I burp. It's relief and a few steps all rolled into one!n It also amuses the heck out of the kiddos at dinner.
