My dr. Said no preop diet. He said its bs your already going to hate the liquid diet after surgery why make you do it before to.

Lucky I'm supposed to start tomorrow but I'm going to start it today.

Hi July sleevers' date=' my date is also on 22nd if my bank loan is approved in time. Really hope it goes well, have started the diet (low fat in my case and just fluids for last 2 days). So excited and nervous that I can hardly breathe.

I see that there are a few who will also be going on the 22nd.

WOULD LOVE IT IF ALL OF US JULYERS CAN BE FORUM FRIENDS! it will make it easier to navigate through the same issues.[/quote']

I am the 31st and you can friend me! I use mobile nostly and it doesnt let me friend people. Hey, mobile-app developers, how about a fix on that???? Lol

I certainly wish I didn't have to do a pre-op diet, but I am certinaly glad I went through those three awful days of withdrawal and am finished feeling like total crap with that BEFORE dealing with the pain of surgery. I'm on day 7, and can definitely see how I may never drink carnation shakes again once I can eat regular food!

Sleeve went ok. No Nassau just some discomfort right now. The fixed the hernia and he told met gall bladder was an ugly mess filled with several large stones. Tonight I rest tomorrow is walking ad sitting in the chair. Go me!

I had surgery on the 15th. The second day was hellish p, I was dry heaving for 4 hours. But I think that was because the hospital took forever to give me pain meds once they took me off the pump. Yesterday and today have been fine, sore of course but able to function.

I needed t hear tht. I am the 24th and I am so scared, but ready. I have lost about 17 pounds on the liquid diet. I pray to have a nice recovery like you

Getting ready for the 23rd! Liquid diet is going ok after the 3/4 day of course! I did have a dream that I cheated on the diet lol! I woke up feeling guilty then so relieved it had just been a dream! Nervous and excited for Tuesday. Reading through posts have been very helpful! Good luck all!

Hello Everyone! I had my surgery on the 17th! Everything went well. I was active since they put my in my room. My first walk was 2 am the next morning. I have been walking ever since. Not in any terrible pain. Just a little soreness from where the incision was where the pulled my stomach. And oh my the gas!!!!! I think the gas is worse than the soreness....lol! I've had my moments of trying to get my liquids down....the gas makes that a little difficult. But for now, things are good.

I am the 29th ..... I guess no is getting sleeved with me. :(

This is my first time responding here. please let me know if i do or say something wrong!

I'm scheduled for July 30th. Nervous. A little worried about how I'm going to feel about giving up so many favorite foods and beverages. I must say, I am totally addicted to food! On a positive note, I'm looking forward to having more energy, being able to get off of meds. It will be nice to be able to buy clothes that are prettier! Plus sized clothes are horrible! I am a size 20 - 22. I hope to lose at least 100 pounds. I would be very happy to be a size 10 or 12 but a 16 would be great, too!
