  1. Almost a year out from surgery. Started at 258 and am now 166. For the first time ever my older sister (who's in the pics) is started to get worried that I may start stealing her clothes lol.
  2. Hello! Does anyone know of a good plastic surgeon on Long Island? I want a tummy tuck and to re-inflate the girls.
  3. I live on Long Island and would be interested in attending
  4. I am almost 8 months out from surgery. Went from 258 to 177.4. 80 pounds lost! I have about 25 pounds to get to a healthy weight, but now focusing on exercise so I can tone up and gain back some muscles!
  5. As of this morning I lost 80 pounds! I was sleeved on July 15th. I went from 258 pounds squeezing into a size 24, to 177.4 and fitting into a size 16, and some size 14! Weight loss is going much slower now, but I am happy with my weight and am working on exercising to get super healthy!
  6. I am down 78 pounds and about 20 to go. My mind has not comprehended that I have lost weight. Most of the time I still see the morbidly obese girl in the mirror. Hopefully I will start to see what I really look like more soon.
  7. I've been scared to try salad. I am six months post op. I have had shredded raw cabbage and it made me very ill. I think I may try a salad soon though because I do love them!
  8. I was just looking at the website. It looks cool. If I dressed up more often I would definitely consider it.
  9. I'm just a regular vegetarian. I eat dairy and eggs but not meat fish or chicken. I've made the eggs in a muffin tin, they are very yummy! I can only take one day of eggs before the sight of them makes me sick.
  10. Hi! I am 6 months post sleeve. I have been having protein shakes for breakfast since I was sleeved, but my dr isn't a fan of shakes and wants me to try to eat real food. He also believes in low carb and no white stuff. I get sick of eggs quickly. And while my sleeve and I are getting along fairly well she gets a little testy in the morning so I can't eat anything too heavy. Also my dr doesn't want me to eat anything mushy like oatmeal or yogurt. Anyone have any ideas? I am nut-less because the one I had was useless. Thanks.
  11. I am 6 months post op and I can eat popcorn non stop. It's the only food that my sleeve doesn't seem to notice I've eaten too much of. I try to stay away from it.
  12. I am having similar feelings. People who gave me dirty looks before the surgery, now find me acceptable to talk to. In my situation it's no one new so I am polite (my child is usually with me) but walk away.
  13. I am 6 months out and my hair was falling out like crazy. Luckily I had a large amount of hair but seeing so much fall out was depressing so I got it all cut off and am now sporting a pixie cut. The hair falling out is hardly noticeable with it this short
  14. If I get overly stressed my pouch will not allow me to eat. But I can drink my protein when stressed.
  15. I had gotten coleslaw as a starter at a diner made me vomit, had to run out of the diner before my son even got his meal. Luckily I made it home before I started vomiting and got the spins.
  16. I included the 7 pounds I lost on my one week liquid diet pre-op.
  17. Hi. I was sleeved on July 15th. Down only 23 pounds. I haven't lost in 2 weeks.
  18. My 2nd day was hell. After that I started feeling better, slowly. I was tired and napping for a while. I am 2 weeks out and yesterday was the first day I haven't napped, though I did zone out for a while in the evening before my son would go to sleep. It does get better.
  19. I had surgery on the 15th. The second day was hellish p, I was dry heaving for 4 hours. But I think that was because the hospital took forever to give me pain meds once they took me off the pump. Yesterday and today have been fine, sore of course but able to function.
  20. Tomorrow is the day! Have to be at the hospital at 930 am. The biggest challenge tomorrow is not to let my son see me cry when I drop him off at daycare. I've never been away from him for more than a day and I am nervous about anesthesia...
  21. My surgery is Monday too? Nervous and excited. Also hungry and bitchy lol. Better get used to that though lol.
  22. I just got home from my preop testing too. Just have to get medical clearance from my primary on Thursday and I will be all set for Monday
  23. I started my liquid diet today. First day almost done and I did not tell anyone off. Woo-hoo!
