Alright everyone scheduled for July 8, we are one week away from being on the sleeved side (yippee!).

Be sure to take care of yourself and be healthy, don't be like me who is still fighting this cold (let's add pink eye too since I don't have enough on my plate, shall we?)

Awful before pics taken with me in a bathing suit.

Measurements taken (in centimeters since I will cry if I converted it to inches)

Jigsaw puzzles, Netflix movies and eBooks all ready to go. I even got a journal to note my goals and track the emotional component of eating.

Supply shopping with mom today since I will be staying with her for week 1 recovery. She's already making beef broth.< /p>

food funerals will continue through the holiday day weekend.

Somedays nervous, somedays excited, mainly not focusing on it too much since I have so much to get done at work and home before hand.

How is everyone feeling?

Kisses,

Fiorella :)

I'm excited! The "OMG what am I thinking" feeling hasn't set in. I'm not having any food funerals right now. I had my food funerals before I started my insurance diet and now I'm good in that department.

I'm on the 8th as well! I've been on liquids for 6 days with little to no problems. I prepped myself for a few weeks before hand and started doing shakes in the morning 2 weeks before, then 1 week before shakes for Breakfast and lunch, so i was only eating "real food" at dinner-time. Had a great week that last week before liquids tho - told my hubby we were eating out every night that week and we hit all my favorite spots so I could have my last meals, so to speak.

I still have to figure out who is going to come stay with my kids the day of surgery and the day after, as I am probably going to spend the night. My husband leaves for work at the ungodly hour of 4:45 AM, so I have to find someone to spend the night. I'm hoping my mom can come spend the night and stay a few days after as well. I have my ipad and my nook ready and loaded with plenty of movies/games/books, so I should be okay there.

I'm very excited!!

Hey July sleevers! I'm June! JUNE 24th, 2013! Add a heating pad and a box of Gas-X melt in your mouth strips!!! Those ars 2 major components that have help me with the pain & bloating!!! The moment I came outta surgery, I put that heating pad on my back for two hours then flipped to my chest. Also walk walk, walk. I was very lucky that one of my nurses had been sleeved in '08 & gave me those two major peices of advice. Also the hydrocodone sucked going down but really helped. Good luck to All you July losers, & see you on the losers bench soon! Stay strong! Sooooo worht it!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
