So cool. Where do you find a hedge hog? How are they around kids? Silly questions but I'm intrigued.

I don't care for pit bulls. There is way to many of them and they aren't that great looking. I am a corgi fan :)

Not great looking? My pit mix got Connecticut's top dog and in a separate contest won most handsome in my town. Sorry I have no kids to brag about. lol. And there's so many of them because we need to educate about spaying and nuetering and adopt don't shop

Does she bite?

We got her because my daughter really wanted a pet and she is allergic to everything. Hedgehogs have hair on their bellies (not fur, big diff!), but they are mostly quills. We got her from a breeder when she was about 6 weeks old.

Hedgehogs are nocturnal, and they do not like people very much, so she is not a lot of fun. They all have different personalities and she is a snuggler, so we got lucky. She likes body heat and will snuggle down in her sleep sack in your lap and snooze the time away. She will bite if aggravated, but really, her quills are worse.

I wouldn't recommend one for a child unless they are VERY mature, and very patient. There is a lot of equipment involved, and they need a constant source of heat, so there is a safety issue involved. Plus, no one really wants to babysit her because they are afraid, so she goes on vacation with us most of the time. Fortunately, we have a house at the beach, so it's not a big deal.

We love her, but I wouldn't get another. She loves my daughter best and that's just fine with me! She is VERY cute to look at, though. That's the best part.

I am pretty sure i have mentioned it plenty of times..how this went about was all wrong' date=' how they posted a picture of him was wrong, how everyone started to judge without knowing the facts was wrong..how you decided to get personally involved was wrong...what rights did you have to speak to Dr. Garcia about Dr. Luna, who are you to pass judgement without hearing his story..the one sided stories are always exaggerated..what authority did you have to come on here and say Dr. Luna was let go.

Its upsetting and i hope that she didn't make anything up..[/quote']

I'm going to say that as far as the op goes? Do I like the way she went about it? No. Do I care for her as a person? Not really. She is not a friend of mine at all.

But the fact remains that some inappropriate things happened and they are not hearsay or idle gossip. Dr. Garcia choose not to ignore it anymore. It has nothing to do with me at all!

I do not have that kind of pull with him.

He went by facts.

Wait, didn't you just reword the same old tired "groupie-in crowd" thing you wrote on the other thread? Come on now, you can do better than that.

Silly me, I thought the "wanna be cool kids" smoked a joint to fit in. Times have changed.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
