I go in today to get my drain and staples out and i'm skeered!! I hate this drain and will be sooo happy when its gone but I'm afraid it's going to hurt!!

Mine didn't hurt. I didn't even know he was done removing it.

I too was nervous about having it removed......it didn't hurt at all. It does feel weird, like you have squiggly things in your belly but it only takes seconds to remove. I was THRILLED to have it out. Good luck

Don't worry it doesn't hurt at all. Just feels weird. You'll be so happy when it's gone.

Having a drain removed feels a little like sliding a shoelace through your closed fist. It doesn't hurt. It is noticeable. Good luck :-)

I was scared of the very same thing - I just "knew" it would hurt to have the staples and drain removed. It did not hurt at all. I can't even say it was 'uncomfortable'. Relax, it is NO big deal!!!

I had mine removed while I was in the hospital. I wouldn't say it was painful, but it was a disgusting feeling. I felt like a squid was swimming through a small opening in my abdomen. Definitely not natural.
