PCOS/ Slowest Metabolism in the world anyone?

So I have struggled with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) and a metabolism that is slower then a snail! I was wondering what the average weight lose for my fellow girls with PCOS was? I have not had my surgery or scheduled my surgery yet Im still in the information gathering stage! I am 5'3" and am at 180 and need to get down to about 125!

You have it easier than I do :) I also have PCOS and a slow metabolism. I'm also 5'3...but my day of surgery (which was on June 10th), I was 235 lbs. I haven't weighed myself in a couple of days...but, I did on Thursday (4 days out), and I was down 7 lbs. I have no idea how much faster or slow it will go...LOL But, I guess we will see :P

How are you feeling after the surgery?

I'm feeling ok :) It's still sore a little on my right side, but it's getting a little better everyday...thanks!

Thats good! Have you been able to exercise yet?

Not yet. They told me walking first (which I've been doing)...then at about a month I can go back to the gym. Looking forward to that!

Thats great to know! I am still gathering information so I feel like I am interrogating anyone I talk to! haha

Also how did you get the tracker on the bottom of your post?

No worries :) I had (still do lol) a ton of questions too! It's why we're all here! If you go to your account and profile, there is an option to add it there.

Thank You!

I'm 5'1.5 and I was 260 at start and 250 on day of surgery 3/13/12. I'm currently at 154lbs. My goal is 140lbs. So at 1 year and 3 months out I'm 14lbs from goal. I have been at 155ish for 2 months though.

I was diagnosed with PCOS 6 years ago.

Wow! niahri that's awesome! :)

That is fantastic Niahri and so encouraging to use PCOSers

Thanks ladies. I find that I'm very carb sensitive so I really have to watch that.
