In my 5th week, on solids, but still having loose BM!

Recommended Posts

I'm sorry if this is TMI. I have had very loose stools the whole time. At first it was blamed on the swallow test drink. Then it was blamed on the liquid diet. But it persisted through purée and now that I'm on solids it's still happening twice or three times a day. Doesn't seem to matter what I eat. I'm actually getting less than 10 grams of Fiber a day. I'm afraid to have more because it might make it even worse. It's embarrassing as hell in public bathrooms. :(

This has really been my only unpleasant symptom. I have only been on solids for two days. Is there hope that this will stop? Should I be worried? I am not a worrier by default and so far I have just toughed it out. But come on. I envy those who have the other problem. At least you can just take something for that.

Maybe try some banana , apple sauce and if your allowed a little white rice. Something to bind you also you may look into a pro biotiic(ask your dr. about this). Wishing you luck !!! ;)

I've heard that some people discover after their sleeve, they have a lactase intolerance. Can you tell if there is any sort of pattern?

I can try to eliminate dairy but that sure makes it tough to get in my Protein. Hmm. By the way you are lactose intolerant if you lack the enzyme lactase. :)

I'd trade you your bowel problems for mine. For a day. I'd be far happier with loose stool than Constipation.< /p>

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
