Too bad we won't have any good lunch box stuff to trade! It could be the most boring table, food wise.

I can see it now. Hey Lipstick Lady, I'll trade you my Protein Shake for your exactly 2 oz of lean meat.< /p>

I'm gonna get a kiss my ass faster than I can whip my shake out! :P :P :P

Every other day is good. Not great. I had my one month today and was told that I did not pass to the next stage yet. Mother truckers.

I can't get in my Protein or my liquids yet. I am stuck at 250-350 calories (which is a huge improvement) a day. I get the foamies immediately upon eating almost anything.

It is getting better, but I did not show enough improvement to go from mushies to soft yet.

Isn't this where you complain that you regrets doing the surgery because you were hoping to eat pizza and fries by now ;)

Ohhhh! I'm so sorry about that for you. How do you feel overall? Are you dehydrated? What calorie level and how much protein do they require? I ask cuz I'm behind you - 11 days post op - and still on full liquids. Do the foamies mean that your tummy is still swollen?

I feel great overall, just pooped if I don't get a nap in. Not dehydrated because I force at least 24 oz a day of liquids plus a forced Protein Drink.< /p>

I am supposed to get 64protein and 64liquid. I can do 40 of one or the other so I try to alternate days. Liquids one day, Protein the next.

I get the foamies (excessive saliva that must be spat immediately) after two small bites of anything except yogurt almost every time. It's getting better, but it's not good yet. I will be a month out on Friday so I am really hoping my brain sends my tummy a congratulations card so my tummy will wake up to the idea that it's time to par-tay instead of vom-it.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
