I had sleeve on May 24th. Full liquids now, blended Soups, etc. Haven't had real meat. Basically if it will melt down in my mouth, I'm trying it. I'm down 27# as of today. Last 3 days have felt pretty normal. Found Unjury Protein and by far the best, and I've tried them all, wasn't getting my protein in until I tried Unjury, just couldn't take the others. Now I don't feel like I made a mistake.

Try EAS Carbcontrol it's really good. The dark chocolate fudge is great!

Soup, shakes (been doing plain powder or diluting with almond milk last couple of days as the artificial sweetener taste is getting to me). Experimented with HCG chili recipe and went down well, mashed potatoes, I did cream of wheat and it was too filling, Greek yogurt mixed with soup mix for something savory. Not proud but was out and had some grilled shrimp chewed really well. Out of everything I've had, the one thing that made me feel like I was going to barf was sugar free fat free pudding. You'd think that would be the least of my issues. I used to crave sweets but now craving meat and seafood although surgery day I told my bf I wanted a steak before I got too loopy. Sleeved 5/20.

I was 5/17. Trying to not do shakes more than once a day.

Breakfast - broth to start out with something warm to clear the path, then

1% milk w/ Fiber 8 oz (3x a day, whenever I start feeling hungry (sadly)

Usually an egg and a 1/4 banana

lunch - string cheese w/ a thin slice of deli meat

Or Wendy's chili 1/4 of a small

snack - dreaded Protein shake

dinner - I've had a meatball w/cheese & sauce, mini beef burger (no bun), fish, shrimp, chicken, etc. with a couple bites of veggie de jour.

Nothing has disagreed, so far.

I was sleeved May 14th (so just a week ahead of you). For the last week I've been eating grilled salmon, grilled tilapia, tuna salad, chicken salad, and meatballs. I also eat thin sliced turkey wrapped around string cheese, laughing cow cheese or a slice of avocado. I also do well with cottage cheese or scrambled eggs. I just started eating veggies this week - cooked carrots, green Beans, zucchini, and yellow squash, if I have enough rom after Protein. I still drink a Protein Drink in the AM until my sleeve feels "awake" and able to tolerate solid food.< /p>

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
