I live in the lower southwest corner of MI, close to Notre Dame IN. I am an RN and direct my own Respite Center for those with Alzheimer's.

I have my first appt. at the Barix Clinic in Holland on Dec. 29th. Would love any info regarding this facility?

Don't have any info to help you there but just wanted to welcome you and congrats on your decision. You will love your band.

I also went to the same seminar in Holland on Dec. 29th. I am very wxcited about the possibility but also thinking that I may be rushing it. I feel a little weird about going to the first doctor I find but I have also been doing so reading on him and the Barix clinics and have founds a lot of good stories.

Thanx for replying...I have been researching "this" for 3 years. I looked at Univ of Chicago, and locally at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. I am excited that you were also at the seminar, but not sure which group you were in??

Just wanted to let you know that I went throught with my surgery and it all went fine. Dr. Schram was wonderful and my husband and I both really like him. The Barix Clinic was wonderful. It is nice because everyone is there for the same reason. The staff was very nice. If you want any info on anything just let me know I am interest in hearing how everything is going for you.

He is the one of the best surgeon's around and worth the drive !!!

Mary did you also use Dr. Schram and the Barix Clinics for your surgery? And if you did how long ago? I was just banded and I am looking forward to my first appt with him.
