South Louisiana Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

I live in Picayune, MS & had my sleeve done at Southern Surgical in Slidell, La on 6/6/13 with Dr. French. What a hottie! LOL. Haven't weighed since 6/17 but was down 17 lbs that day. I'm in an old pair of jeans I haven't worn in years today. The button's about to fly across the room but I'm in dem bishes!!! 5' 3.5" started 230 last weigh in 213.

Just received one call to verify my meds n go over everything. She said so far I'm the first one tomorrow, but not official until doc calls me. If it doesn't change I will need to report for 5am. I am so ready for this.

I am from NOLA - had surgery February 28th, so I'm a little over four months out. I had surgery at Ochsner Main Campus & let me just reassure you that he is phenomenal!

If you have any questions, I'll be happy to try and answer them! Good luck ladies!

I'm having my surgery at Ochsner on Jeff Hwy also. My doctor is Dr. Wooldridge.

Was the approval process long? I'm seeing Dr Richardson and having all my test done this Friday. I'm anxious to have it done.

Thanks for this info. Everyone I know had Dr. Richardson. I just felt comfortable when I met Dr. Wooldridge and his staff.

Not at all for me. I completed all my testing and approved within a month.

It depends on your insurance. I had a required 6 months of NUT visits. From the time I was approved it was 2 days and I got a date. My date was 6 weeks from the day they called to tell me my date.

Dr. Richardson was my surgeon. If you new anything feel free to shoot me a private message... I don't always read through all the posts on the threads.

Xoxo

I only need one NUT visit. I already have sleep apnea (no more sleep studies), blood work (done), and Friday is X-ray, EKG, UGI X-ray, NUT, and psych eval; I ready for this life change. I'm 35 and would love to have a child before 40; and this surgery would help with all my health issues.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
