Where did i say i wanted feedback in this post? I wrote this post to rant (not every post is a question)...if u read my 2nd post it asks if anyone else feels the same way what were they lectured on? I hate when people say they are confused...you are not confused. No one soft shoed anything. .they asked me questions as to why I am overweight if I didn't eat a lot, I answered their questions and answerer some more. No one offended me in this post, its questions I get a lot because frankly I had the same questions.

Perhaps if you stated that you didn't want or need feedback, you wouldn't get any. You did post it in questions and you did pose a question. Maybe the rants section would have been more appropriate for this particular thread because your readers would have a more specific idea of your intentions, too.

 :P

Case on point...

"I miss my vitamuffins...I'm 11 days post op :-( I loved the banana walnut with Peanut Butter on top for Breakfast."

After saying.....

"Not for long lol I am never hungry any more".

We all get a little emotional after surgery!

Hell some of us still get emotional after six months!

:P

I dont get why you are asking that though I'm not in a bad mood I was just answering the poster's question because they were confused. I didnt once ask a question in my original post...I just re read it...and I didn't know there was a rants section.

The internet is a wonderful thing. We get to communicate instantly with people we've never met. Our great-great grandparents would be astounded.

The down side is that we are communicating instantly with people we've never met. :P

Truly, though, we don't have a complete frame of reference for everything we read; we don't know the person very well, most of the time. We completely lose the nuances of tone-of-voice, and people can go off like a Roman candle when they perceive negativity or snark, whether it's intended or not. A forum like this, where the whole point is putting information, feedback and support out there, can easily go off the rails when something is misinterpreted. Not to mention the threadjacks--most of which I enjoy immensely--often caused by folks like me who are easily distrac--ooooh, look! A kitty!

*wanders off*

You can miss something without being hungry...what is your point? I'm sure a lot of people on here miss pizza and ice cream but they are not hungry. I didn't say I was gonna scarf down a muffin top. I'm actually the happiest ive been in a while. ..a happy person isnt allowed to rant?

I'm not lecturing.. I'm just saying you might be on a bit of an emotional roller coaster right now..

I dont feel as if I am. I was just trying to make a connection with someone who liked vitamuffins since most people I know haven't even heard of them...I was also giving them an idea of a way to eat them. I feel as if I am very emotionally stable and had one rant which I now know should have gone into the rants section.

Oh if you want to see lecturing I would check out my thread called' date=' "chewing food and spitting it out"

It's in the rants and rave section which is where it belongs because its a rant!![/quote']

Now I know there's that section I will go to it next time I have a rant.

This is not an attack or a lecture but just some of my own personal thoughts that I wanted to share.

Everyone's perception is different - because I personally see two handfulls of posts where people are soft shoeing and tiptoeing and walking on eggshells. Even the preface 'this is not a lecture' is a form of walking on eggshells in an attempt to lessen any potential 'blowback'.

However, if one is used to throwing tantrums and having their way handed to them - they typically are unaware of other peoples efforts to avoid upsetting them and having to deal with their rants or tantrums.

To the OP: perhaps a website like Blogger or Blogdrive or LiveJournal where you can control/restrict other peoples abilities to read and/or reply to your posts. Or an old fashioned diary would be better for you than the traditional forum format.

You can not control the actions of another living being.

I'm not sure the sleeve would work or be a helpful tool for someone who already eats very little and just has a slow metabolism. In that case' date=' apparently restriction/calorie control, which the sleeve helps to provide, would not be your answer. If you already have limited calories, getting a sleeve will not help and if it's truly just a metabolic issue, perhaps a thyroid evaluation is in order.[/quote']

I was sleeve on5/16 and have thyroid issue I'm on pills since the age of 14 and I have loss already 16 lbs so if u have your thyroid control it should not be an issue to loss weight I was told by my doctor

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
