I've been up for 3 hrs already. The anticipation is killing me. I have triple checked my bag for the hospital and cleaned everything at home twice. Just ready to go to the next step of this new journey

I had mine on the 3rd as well. I'm a little sore, this gas is something though! Walking truly does help, but I'm tiring really quickly. How is everyone else?

I had mine done yesterday at 1130am. I was very dizzy and nauseous afterwards- still am too. I am having a hard time walking around because of the dizziness & nausea. However' date=' I am drinking Protein and clear fluids, which is great.

I have a morphine push pump and getting zofran through the iv.

Last night was awful. Most of it was due to my roommate.... She was calling for the nurses all night. Way too loud, too many people- too bright. Too noisy etc.

Worst part is the nausea and the nurses forcing. Me to walk. I will post a pic of my insicion sight soon.[/quote']

Hi Akmys11, welcome to the loser's bench! I was extremely nauseous after surgery also. It was better the next day. I was discharged yesterday and trying to get used to being back at home. Walking does help even though you don't want to. Right now we have a battles but I know it will get better, this is a big change to become accustomed to.

My goal today is to work on a schedule for my meals and drinking that georgette (my sleeve, yes i named my sleeve. lol) will be able to handle.

Thank you akmys11 and nicolenik17 for your updates. I am having surgery on June 11 (next Tuesday) and have been very emotional. This is day 3 of liquids and whoo, this is tough. I am so worried about about the day of surgery...my anxiety, my pain level after, everything. There have been a couple times I've actually thought about canceling, but I know I want to do this. I am ready to be happy and healthy, but terrified at the same time.

nicolenik17, love that you named your sleeve!!

Thanks confidencebound, I had the same emotions also, they will pass. The day of surgery I was very anxious because my surgery was in the middle of the day. Once I got to the hospital I was very calm and was at peace with my decision and what was about to happen.

I also had mine on the third. I am having rough time today getting my drinks in. I feel weak and sore, committed this morning. I just called for some nausea meds hoping that helps. I did take a walk around my yard and a shower this morning. Hoping to wake up feeling great after my lunch time nap. I honestly felt better when I left the hospital.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
