  1. I am a week and a half post op.... I have always been a water chugger. I was so worried that when I had surgery I would have problems. After the first week I noticed my sips becoming bigger and bigger. I am not chugging but am able to take large swallows with no problems. I am fearful that it is going to cause a problem with the incision line. I trying really hard to be aware of what is m doing so I stop. In the meantime anyone know of any problems besides vomit (which I have not) from to big of sips.

  4. I physically feel hungry along with stomach growling. I know what hunger feels likes and I have been hungry for three days now. I can tell that my stomach swelling has gone down because I am able to consume larger sips of water and broth also. It took me an hour to finish a shake before now it takes 30 min max and that is because I am not overly fond of them.
  5. Yesterday I went to a tastefully simple party. I was sleeved June 3. I took my Son as my taste tester, told them I was on a strict diet and would probably spend more bases on his advice anyway lol! I can honestly say the fear of harming myself kept me from even trying to eat a crumb. I was told over and over by people they were not even hungry after the surgery. That has not been the case for me. My stomach is growling and I am finding that I am becoming fixated on everything I can't eat. Not to mention I am one week out and have lost about 6lbs. I did this for a reason and I will be able to eat whatever I want someday (proportionately of course) I can do this and so can all of you. Don't hurt yourself!

  7. I am day 5 post op and am also experiencing a little stomach growling. There is no way in hell I want to be back at day one back in the hospital. I am doing so much better than I was. I WOULD NOT do anything other than what your surgeon told you to do. Suck it up you will survive a few hunger pains but may not survive a leak. Drink more, walk more, do something but do not eat Cheerios.
  8. Feeling a little better this morning took a pretty long walk, made my son breakfast, did dishes etc then took another nap I definitely have kept the tv off pretty much. I've been out to my garden a couple times to to yank a weed or two. I have only gotten three milkshakes down since coming home. I'm going to try to get another one in this afternoon. Each day is a little better, I am just looking to be better right now :-)
  9. I am struggling a little with pain and nausea. I am scared to death to put anything in my mouth. Reading everyone's that is far out post op writing about this time being a vague memory helps :-). I called the md office today and told them I feel worse than I did the day I left the hospital. I think I need to drink more... It's scary for me though...
  10. I was sleeved June 3. Just wondering how you other June girls and guys are doing?
  11. I am just waking up to my fourth day post-op. I can't say that I regret it but I am hurting. I did not expect to be so uncomfortable. I came home yesterday and wanted to go go go and my body said sit the hell down. I just vomited for the first time because I drank to much water trying to get a pill down. I am so excited at what lies ahead of me, it is just getting through these next few weeks that I believe will be my greatest struggle. I can't imagine getting in all the water and shakes I have to because I have no desire to put anything in my mouth. I am guilty of not asking enough people what this would be like... I didn't want to get talked out of it. The few people that are a ways out post op all had great things to say and I am just trying to keep it positive!
  12. I feel like I have been hit by a truck. Everyone said would feel so great... I planned to go back to work part time starting Saturday. I just started a new job and I didn't want to take a bunch of time. Worried sick right now!
