I was just sleeved on Tuesday. Tuesday night I felt great but Wednesday was horrible!!! Puking but nothing coming out, pain moving around, etc. the nausea has since stopped but my stomach is still really sore. I'm having a hard time getting up and can't roll over onto my side in bed. Bust wondering when the pain gets better?

I'm on straight liquids and even just the thought of food makes me sick. I am getting at least 48 oz of Water although not as much Protein as I should...that's coming from shakes

It took me a little over a week before I could roll over without the pain. I think a lot of the pain was due to the gas from the surgery which takes some time to subside. Good job getting in your liquids in and take it easy! I know that once I started feeling more mobile it was easy to over do it in which case I felt like crud all over again. Good luck :)

Have they given you any antinausea pills and pain meds? You don't want to be throwing up at all. Stay hydrated first and then work on the Protein. Small sips at a time.

The pain does get better. It took me about 4 days before it started to get easier to get up and down by myself without much pain. As far as sleeping on my stomach and turning over on my side in bed that was about day 7, without any pain hardly. As far as your Protein, get as much in as you can, this helps your body heal. Try watering down your Protein Drink to help it go down easier. I drink half of mine and freeze the other half and eat it like 3hrs later. I do this with both of mine. It'll get easier soon, the first week is tough.

Thanks!!! Yes, they gave me anti nausea meds in the hospital and it was only the 1st day preop. I was worried I was going to burst my stomach.

If the vomiting hasn't subsided you may need stronger antiemetics. Ask your surgeon's office for a scrip of orally dissolving ondansetron (zofran), granisetron (kytril), or something similar. They will know the dosage. I agree with the others, get as much Protein in as you can. It will help you heal up and prevent greater Hair loss. It seems for most average patients patients the pain subsides within the week, if not sooner. So I hope you are feeling better soon! In 2 weeks I'll be in your position!

I would vomit if I took one of my medications because I was taking it on an empty stomach.

I'm three weeks out today, and I just started feeling like myself about 3 days ago. I can sleep on my stomach now, and the nasty "charlie horses" I was having in my abdomen have stopped. Healing takes time. It's hard to go through, but it's true.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
