I guess this Journey has been very tough and these past five months have been very hard to adjust to. On a good note I have lost 65 pounds but I feel like my weight loss has come to a stand still. I wish that i would lose weight a little faster..I know I should be happy of all the weight I have lost it's just that I haven't lost but one pound in one month :( Feeling sad....

Thanks for listening

Hi, I'm pre-op but I wanted to know what was tough for you? Also can you maybe speak with your nutritionist about revamping your weight loss? Do you work out?

I am also 5 months out exactly (surgery 12/17) and my weight loss has slowed as well. I am OK with it- I feel SO much better 100 lbs lighter (pre- and post-op loss). I am at the point to where I am happy if the number on the scale moves down at all, and it still is, just not as fast. I think you have done a marvelous job- the cliché is true- you didn't put it all on in 5 months, it's not going to come off in that time either.

Congrats on the weight loss! This is awesome.

I think the sleeve is a journey, one that is fast at times, slow as molasses at other times, uphill, downhill and wanders across washed out bridges and various obstacles. In the end, we look back and realize the journey tried our patience, challenged us, frustrated us and made us laugh or cry. Yet, we are becoming better one step at a time, one obstacle at a time, and one success story at a time.

You’re on a journey and you're doing just fine. Stay the course, adjust the compass and keep moving. You got this.

I know for me around the 5 month post opt things started slowing down....

I learned to just be patient and the weight did come off a little bit at a time..... :)

Now I'm pretty new to my personal set goal and very happy.

I even forget that I had the sleeve and am quickly reminded by my restriction......

I am very thankful and grateful for the changes in my body....

And just as a reminder, my cousin passed away yesturday and she was extremely obese, embarrassed to seek treatment, and developed four tumors that were cancerous. The blessing here is that both her daughter and myself had weight loss surgery and I believe that has saved our lives. I am very blessed to have this sleeve as a tool..... :)

Hi...Ll Gemini it has been tough just adjusting and learning your new stomach. There are good days and bad days...sometimes I can eat a little bit over 3 oz and there are days that I can't get even one oz of food in my stomach. So it's been a battle trying to adjust my meals in order not to over eat and get sick. There are days that I just kind of eat to survive..

Thanks for your reply

I'm right there with you. I didn't experience the typical 3 week stall and felt pretty lucky. But now at 3 months out, my scale hasn't moved in almost 3 weeks. I'm trying to be patient...but it is frustrating.

I'm 5 months too 12/17...I'm at another stall! :-(. But this too shall pass! Like they said....it didn't come on over night...not going to come off overnight either! I'm wearing clothes I haven't worn in ten yrs...so I'm happy...just as long as the scale moves in the right direction!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
