I haven't put anything on my scars except occasional almond oil when I was moisturizing everything else already. I'm not too concerned about them or embarrassed by mine.

The Walmart by me has a huge .88 bin that has a scar gel in it. It says for existing scars to use for 3-6mos 3Xs daily. The box shows "Compare to Mederma". I've been using for about a week & I tell you, the feel of my scars is already smoother. Try it! Sorry, but I don't know the name of it. I'd recommend buying about 6 boxes of it b/c the tube is kinda small.

I've read promising research about alpha-hydroxy acids (like Am-Lactin lotion) for stretch marks/scars.
