I stopped coming to this forum because I am losing soooo much slower than people on here. I am 50 and post menopausal, so I knew it would be slow and I am not hard core dieting. I eat what I want, just a lot less of it! Had several weeks if being really sick and have been inactive too, but today did some before and after pics... I has surgery 2 1/2 months ago.

You look great! I am in the 50's (hahaha at least for a few more months anyway) and weight does come off slower. But that's OK - this is a journey we'll be for for the rest of our lives......and since I plan to be here for a L O N G time, especially now that I am getting so healthy, I've got time.

My weight loss is going very slowly now and my medical team & personal trainer all say that it is a good way to lose. I think it's helping me to work on developing more patience with myself.

Just keep to your medical team's plan and it will come off.

Good luck, keep us all posted - we're here to support you.

You look fantastic! Slow and steady wins the race!

I am 9 weeks out and am 52. I knew it would be slower for me because I have always been a slow loser and at our age, our bodies don't seem to want to give it up! I am not doing low carb, just healthy rounded meals with of course Protein first. I just hit my second major goal of another 10% of my body weight. It's going slow but it's going!

Congrats to you! You inspire me!

And yes, 50's are great! I My favorite decade so far!

I am 49, had a complete hysterectomy at 28, so I have been post menopause since then. I too am a slow loser compared to others 27 since 3/6. But I am finally embracing the fact that I am not everybody else, I can only be me and do the best I can. Plus at our age we need less chance at all that loose skin LOL. You look great though!

Big difference in the two pics. You do look great. Congrats on your loss! I'm glad that you are enjoying your food also. I believe that it's great to eat well but also enjoy it along the journey. Best Wishes!!

I m 49 soon and sleeve 2/27 I've lost 43 pounds but I'm changing sizes and loosing inches. I went from 22/24 down to 12/14 top and 16 pants.

I'm slower but I'm looking at lasting results.

Funny story at work I had to hold up my extra large pant. That great . But got remember to wear my sexy underwear for when they fall. Lol

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
