I have a question my surgery was April 30th I'm on puréed foods now... Whenever I start to eat after a few bites I get this pain in the top of my stomach.. It feels like a gas pain but its a few seconds but then it keeps coming back?? And I'm not sure if that means I'm full or what... I only am getting 2 ounces each time

It probably means you are very full. The most you should be eating right now is 2oz or 1/4 cup at a time..

Eat tiny bites and eat slow!

In the beginning the Water and Protein can feel like a full time job! It doe get better, but for now at 10 days out or so? Water and the Protein Shakes are most important in that order..

Purée food for a lot of us did not start until 3 weeks out or so.

So I wouldn't worry to much about getting "regular" food in to much right now :)

It does feel like a full time Job! It takes a while to get down, but at 5 weeks I think I finally have the hang of it, but it was 3 to 4 weeks before I was getting all my Water, and Protein because I got that pain also. I think I finally have the rhythm down but when it gets thrown off it all falls apart.

This is a silly question, but are Protein shakes considered part of the 64 oz daily? Or are you supposed to drink 64 oz of Water plus the Protein Shakes? ?

Seems impossible!

Yea it is hard I can't seem to get all that in a day.. But my doctor said that it does not count as your daily liquids which sucks... But I just called my nut earlier with a Protein question about isopure... And it counts as both protein and liquid... They are expensive though.. I bought 3 20 oz. bottles of blue raspberry and it was like $15.. But it's 20 oz. of liquids and 40 grams of protein... The taste isn't to bad as long as its very cold!! So this is what I'm going to try in drink to start getting all my fluids which I have been doing terrible at... It feels like all I do all day I eat or drink and I don't want to do either.. But I know that it's important so I'm trying my best :)

I have been counting both as my liquids! Darn, no wonder I've been at a stall for the past 6 days.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
