Whoo... Apply the brakes and "Step Away" from the sugar free taffy!

Hi folks its confession time! I have really been enjoying sugar free taffy. It was nice to have a "treat" after all I deserve one right!? I am doing well so far! At least that is what my internal conversation has been.

Well the result of my one piece of taffy that lead to serval pieces a day is.... I hit a stall. As I began to rethink my past week.... I asked myself what have I done differently? It was the taffy... Then I thought huh... I wonder how many calories are in taffy.... Was I surprised 35 calories per piece OMG I had consumed many calories just in taffy. Whoops!

I need to watch out for hidden calories! Am I saying I will never have sugar free taffy again. No way... I will... However, I will be more cautious with my calorie intake... No matter how small the food item I am consuming!

Anyone else experience something like this???

Yes, those sugar free sour "mint" things that come in a round plastic container- they are right at the check out. Once I ate the whole thing in a day...yeah, they are like 1.7 calories per piece- which means I ate about 100 extra empty calories that day...yikes!!!
