I am on my 2nd sleeve, I can't stay on a liquid diet for another 2 weeks. I had to add an once of fish and juice some veggies. I was literally fainting. O am scared to stretch this thing out again. I stay under 1,000cals and use spark people.com

What do you mean by your second sleeve?

I feel your pain. As others have mentioned tracking what you eat. I use myfitnesspal and its pretty easy to see what Im eating, exercising, and it tracks everything. After reading some other posts, I'm wondering if Im eating or taking in too much. Dont give up, Im not even though Im wondering why some days. I feel like this was my last ditch effort after fighting the fat my entire life. I really had high hopes that this would finally give me the edge I needed to finally get it under control and I feel like its been all for not. But Im not giving up. I am losing inches, just not weight, go figure. Keep your head up and so will I.

You said you were getting about 50ish carbs a day. Have you tried eating fewer carbs? For me that is to many. I try to stay to Protein with veggies and occassionally some fruit like berries or melons and only a little of that. Hang in there you are still newly sleeved. Did you measure yourself? If you are losing inches then your sleeve is working! Many times when the scale isn't going down the inches are.

This is still the process of weight loss and soon your scale will show a difference.Good luck to you!! :)

Everyone has stalls. You're too early out to think that you failed. I stalled for 4-6 weeks at one point. And yes, I also thought I was a sleeve failure.

You're doing everything right, give it some time and be patient. Talk to your NUT if you have concerns about your food, you should also try writing down what you're eating. You'd be surprised how those little meals can add up.

Chin up and hang in there!

Yeah, this is interesting. What do they cut out for a 2nd sleeve? Is it somewhere between 5-10%? I remember reading a long time back that 85% is chosen because anything more is usually too restrictive and creates other challenges related to acid production.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
